Sudan aid access improves as relief stocks run out
IOM and UNHCR said on 6 November that 15.4 million people in Sudan urgently needed shelter, while funding shortages limited assistance to about one in ten people in need. IOM said 16 trucks reaching Darfur carried its last available stocks.
At least 30 civilians were killed in an attack in Beni Territory, North Kivu, overnight on 5 November, according to local sources cited by OCHA. The UN reported destruction of a health centre and suspension of Ebola response operations.
Climate finance falls short in vulnerable displacement settings
UNHCR reported on 6 November that roughly three-quarters of forcibly displaced people, nearly 90 million, live in countries highly exposed to climate hazards. Fragile and conflict-affected countries hosting large refugee populations receive about 10% of global climate finance.
DR Congo faces acute food insecurity through December
The IPC estimates 28.8 million people, 23% of the population analysed, facing acute food insecurity in September–December, including over 3.6 million in emergency conditions.

Ivanhoe Mines said on 3 November that Kamoa-Kakula in DR Congo had lowered its 2027 guidance to 300,000–350,000 tonnes of copper in saleable products. Its existing smelter continues to operate at about 60% of design capacity, according to the company.
The UN peacekeeping chief told the Council that 19 October drone attacks killed at least 30 people in Abyei. More than 49,000 refugees and returnees use the Amiet hub.
