IPA strengthens support for consumers worried about data leaks
On 2 November, IPA announced stronger consumer security consultation support in response to repeated disclosures of data leaks involving unauthorized access. It says the service advises individual users across Japan on reducing secondary harm and on everyday precautions.

JPCERT/CC’s 21 October analysis reports finding that attackers analysed APKs to identify APIs and used AI for scanning known vulnerabilities and attacks. It says services intended for users outside Japan were also targeted.
