Japan explains revenue-estimate improvements and its FX policy stance
At the 2 November briefing, Japan’s finance minister discussed improving revenue-estimate accuracy and transparency for the FY2027 budget. She reiterated a readiness to respond to disorderly or excessively speculative FX moves in line with the Japan–US joint statement.
IPA strengthens support for consumers worried about data leaks
On 2 November, IPA announced stronger consumer security consultation support in response to repeated disclosures of data leaks involving unauthorized access. It says the service advises individual users across Japan on reducing secondary harm and on everyday precautions.
